    Why Reading and Writing
    are important in academia?

Reading is not only a way to gather knowledge but also an analytical journey that stimulates profound thought. As students engage with Classical literature, they will explore the depth of ideas, the richness of emotions, and the artistry behind the works. At the same time, they learn to critically evaluate the viewpoints and assumptions found within these texts by reflecting on the underlying logic and philosophical concepts.

Writing serves as an extension and expression of thought, further strengthening critical thinking skills. Throughout the writing process, students are encouraged to integrate information and use diverse sources to express their ideas clearly. They will also learn to reflect on, revise, and refine their arguments continuously.

The course sparks creativity by cultivating critical thinking across the disciplines of history, literature, philosophy, and art. It also develops vital skills such as empathy, cultural awareness, and ethical reasoning—essential for thriving in a global, diverse world.
